Sci-campers fire up supremacy in YES-O

The Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School Science campers clinched the
overall championship award in the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) Camp 2014 at Paniki National High School,
Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, Aug. 8-10.

 

Trailing behind NVGCHS as school highest pointers were Saint Louis School, 1st runner up; tie between Paniki High School and Nueva Vizcaya Bright Child School, 2nd runner up.

NVGCHS, umarangkada sa 2014 Bayombong High School Athletic Meet

 

Nangibabaw ang Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School (NVGCHS) matapos
tanghaling kampeon sa nakaraang 2014 Bayombong High School Athletic Meet matapos humakot ng 25 medalya Setyembre 25-26.


Hindi nagpatalo ang NVGCHS sa humigit-kumulang 500 manlalaro mula sa Bonfal National High School, Nueva Vizcaya State University, Paima National High School, Nueva Vizcaya Bright Child School, United Methodist
Christian School, Casat National High School, Purisimo L. Tiam College High School, at Kingsway Academy sa iba’t ibang larangan ng pampalakasan upang iuwi ang kampeonato para sa taong ito.Idineklarang pangalawa
ang SMUHS na nakakuha ng 23 medalya (10 ginto, 10 silver at 3 bronze).

Samantala nakuha naman ng CNHS ang pangatlong puwesto sa pamamagitan ng 5 medalya Ang Nueva Vizcaya Bright Child
School ang nagsilbing punong abala sa pambukas na palatuntunan.

 

Layon ng gawaing ito na piliin ang mga atletang lalahok at kakatawan sa Bayan na Bayombong sa nalalapit na 2014 Provincial Meet sa Oktubre. Ang mga atleta at mga tagapagsanay ng NVGCHS ay pinamunuan ni Dr. Roger Sebastian, Head Teacher V,
MAPEH Department.#

Science wizards enter reg’l ST tilt,
NVGCHS lands overall lead among public schools in Nueva Vizcaya

Two NVGCHS students dominating the Applied Sciences category gave the Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School its rank as champion among secondary public schools in the 2014 Division Science and Technology Fair (STF) and Quest held Oct. 24-25 at NVGCHS, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.


Emmanuel Silao of IV-Mars clinched 1st place in Applied Sciences (Individual) in Cluster 2 (S&T Oriented HS) with his project “Time Series Analysis Using 5-Year Historical Data on Power Load Demand in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya” while Mark Jhoseph Magtalas of IV-Narra bagged 1st in Applied Sciences (Individual) in Cluster I (Regular High Schools) with his project

“The Acceptability of Chesa (Pouteria
campecheiana baenhi) as an Ingredient in
Making Cupcakes, Cookies and Waffles.”

 

Both Silao and Magtalas will be representing Nueva Vizcaya to the regional level contest.
In Applied Sciences, Johannes Rodmar Franco and Peter John Ramos of IV-Mars notched 2nd place as a team with their project “Warning Device (Disaster Risk Reducation Gadget)”

 

In Life Sciences, individual category, Vincent Arciaga, IV-Mars, ranked 2nd and Oliver Bigornia, IVMolave, 3rd. In the team category, Glaiza Sabino, Alegna Corpuz and Angelika
Joyce Uhuad, IV-Mars, clinched 2nd with their “Chemical, Antibacterial, Cytotoxic and Antioxidant Properties of P. aurata and an Evaluation of its Dyeing Properties with other 2 Lichens from Brgy. Imugan, Sta. Fe, Nueva Vizcaya.” The team of Sheryl Quiberne, Jonathan Oliveros

 

Dayne Geneva Abad and Jude Victor Domincel of IV-Narra grabbed 2nd with their project Anti-Bacterial Radical Scavenging and Cytotoxic
Properties of Gynura Procumbens (Philippine Ashitaba) and Rubus Rosifolius (Wild Strawberries).

 

In Science Quiz Bee, Mark Lester Tallungan, VII-Neptune, ranked 4th, Kyan Bartolome, VIIIEarth, ranked 2nd, and Queenie Hidalgo, IV-Mars, 3rd.NVGCHS ranked 2nd overall among 53 secondary schools (public and private) attending the STF activity that encourages the promotion of Science investigatory projects that address environmental protection and conservation of the ecosystem.
